I hope that majority of you would of heard about this and will already be making plans to come along for the whole weekend, but just in case you've been living under a rock here are all the details to get involved.
We are running a Skatepark, Shop Stall and Competition at this years VolksFest. Volksfest is a car show & festival combined, now with added extreme sports and onsite skate ramps by Crucial. VolksFest is located at Washingpool Farm, Easter Compton, Bristol, BS35 5RE. Right by the Motorway and Cribs Causeway, it is no longer than a 15-20 minute drive from our shop in Bedminster.
This is a family event, everyone welcome so please bring them all!
This is happening from Friday the 6th, and goes on until the 8th Sunday. The site is open from midday Friday for everyone to come in and get settled, pitch your tent and get ready for the weekend.
I believe the cost of a ticket for the whole weekend is £25 (adult, Children are cheaper again), its even less if you only come Saturday/Sunday, and about £10 per day for individual day tickets. All tickets can be bought at the door, no stress involved.
We are going to be charging £5 per day per person to ride the skatepark, this will also include the competitions we are holding. There will not be any added extra so absolute no excuse to get involved with what we have planned. The skatepark is also under cover so if there is any rainfall we can carry on without it disrupting our vibe!
I hear you ask what actually going on for competitions, well we have a Pro and Amateur competition going on with a few bonus rounds thrown in (highest air, rail jam etc). In terms of prizes we have CASH money up for grabs for the PRO category and top quality bike parts including a Colony Type 2 Detective Complete BMX! These have been provided by our amazing sponsors; Blank, Colony, Split Second, Federal, Subrosa, Shadow, Seventies, United and 4Down.
We will be releasing a time plan of exactly how things will go down during each day closer to the weekend.
I've definitely spoke enough about what we are doing, but how about i give you a quick run down of what else is going during the weekend there. So kicking it off as you'd expect at a car show there is a massive Autojumble and trade arena, Buggy Racing, Cars 4 Sale, VW Specialists, Vw Vehicle Sales, Show and Shine for air and watercooled cars, Low Rider competition finals, Cinema, Club Displays, UPFEST Graffiti, Sculptures, World Cup/Football Charity Auction, Food and Bars, Retro Bike Display and competition, Dog agility display, Showers onsite, Car Boot sale, BRISFEST Stage/DJ and Area, Brazilian Carnival, Music all day and Fancy dress.....
