Despite the absolutely awful weather leading right up to XFEST and even during the event we had an absolute blast this weekend. Considering it was the first ever XFESTIVAL everything ran smoothly and without any major hiccups so well done to everyone that organised it. Obviously they didn't have anywhere near the turn out expected but CrucialBMX will be back in full force with a massive stand and car show for next year....Have a look at these couple of snaps: On the first night we expected to be pitching our tent in the rain, however it turns out that the gates shut a 7pm and no-one without a ticket/band cannot enter. This was NOT explained to us, nor does it say it on any documentation we received or the festivals website at all. I expect most traders probably had to work and then take the long drive up (as did we) so it would of been nice if this was more clear or extended until 9-10pm (i cannot see how it would case any problems staying open an hour or two longer) so Friday was spent in the local Premier Inn.. This was our little stand on the first day! Nothing special, just a little promotional area. Vince Mayne riding BMX Street Pro, Vince killed it with a awesome 3 over the rails and other smooth moves. It was random as hell for Monster to fly over Catfish to commentate one 20 minute Pro contest but whatever, while he was there he checked out the stand and was buzzing to see his boys Adam OSS Stuff getting repp'ed hard. Maddie was a star and helped all weekend, in return i let her wear my incredibly warm hat and coat because boy was it COLD... Cappy Smith always comes through with the mischief The day after the night before, Vince Mayne and Bill Cooper try to gather their bearings.
